Representative Matches Junior members representing the club in junior (U15, U13 and U11) and senior (1st XI and 2nd XI) matches are expected to dress in predominantly white clothing in keeping with normal cricketing tradition. The exception is where a junior member is asked to play in a senior competition that requires coloured clothing to be worn. In this instance, the club will provide the coloured clothing for use at the match. Club Shirts White club cricket shirts (with club crest) are available to order at a cost of £15 inclusive of a name and number on the back. Coloured club cricket shirts (with club crest and sponsor's name) are available to order at a cost of £17 either plain or with a name and number on the back. To order a shirt contact Rodney Hassard at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it specifying chest size in inches, the colour required and the name and number to be printed on the back (if any). Please note that numbers will be allocated among junior members on a "first come, first served" basis and preferred numbers cannot be guaranteed to be available. Note: From the 2013 season, it will be a requirement that all junior members wear a white club shirt when representing the club in matches. Training There are no specific requirements for attire at training sessions, except that it should be suitable for cricket and sporting activity generally. Footwear must be suitable and such as to not cause damage to the grounds and, in particular, the square. Equipment Junior members are required to wear protective gear (pads, gloves, helmets, etc.) as appropriate to the match or training activity being undertaken. The club will provide some equipment of suitable quality for the use of all. Junior members are encouraged to bring and use their own equipment at all times provided it is in safe condition. Coaches / Coordinators have the right to prohibit the use of any equipment they deem to be unsafe. |
